The only dragon found in Swan Lake is the Faerie Dragon. It lives in the peaceful tangled forest of Swan Lake and thrives on pranks, mischief, and practical jokes. They resemble miniature dragons with thin bodies, long, prehensile tails, gossomer butterfly wings, and hugh smiles. Their colors range through the spectrum, changing as they age, from the red of a hatchling to the black of a great wyrm. The hides of females have a golden tinge that sparkles in the sunlight, males have a silves tinge.
Beautiful intelligent, tree sprites. They are as elusive as they are alluring, however, dryads are rarely seen unless taken by surprise - or they wish to be spotted. The dryad's exquiste features, delicate and finely chisled, are much like a elf maiden's. Dryads have high cheek bones and amber, violet, or dark green eyes. A dryad's complexion and hair change colours with the season, presenting the sprite with natural camouflage. Durning the fall, a dryad's hair turns golden or red, and her skin subtly darkens from its usual kight tan to more closely match her hair colour. This enables her to blend with the falling leaves of autumn. In winter, both the dryad's hair and skin are white, like the snow that cover the great oak tress of Swan Lake. When encountered in the forest during fall or winter, a dryad is often mistaken for an attractive maid, of elvish descent. No one would mistake a dryad for an elf maid durning the spring and summer, however. At these times of year, a dryad's skin is lightly tanned and her hair is green like the oak leaves around her.Dryads often appear clothed in loose, simple garments. The clothing they wear is the colour of the oak grove in the seasons they appear.

Also called fauns, a pleasure loving race. They symbolize nature's carefree ways. Satyrs have the torso, head and arms of a man, and the hind legs of a goat. The human head is surmounted by two sharp horns that poke through his coarse, curly hair. The skin of the upper body ranges from tan to light brown, with rare individuals with red skin. Sprites are sly and reclusive faerie people, related to brownies and leprechauuns. Several varieties, includiing pixies and nixes reside in Swan Lake. Most sprites have small, semitranspatent wings, and elven features.Sprites have distinctly elven creatures and live in the meadows and wooded glens of Swan Lake. The wingless lake sprites make their homes in coral caves that line Swan Lake and live in harmony with the other creatures of the lake. The naturally invisible pixies are perhaps the most intelligent and michievous of the faaaeries, they dwell in the picturesque woodlands surrounding of Swan Lake and they find delight in harassing travelers with their pranks.
Treants are strangely related to both humans and trees, combining features of both species. Peaceful by nature, treants can cause great damage when roused to anger. They dislike anything that is evil and the unrestrained use of fire.Treants are almost indistinguishable from trees. Their shin is a thick, textured, brown bark. Their arms are gnarled like branches and their legs fit together when standing like a trunk of a tree. Above the eyes and along the head are dozens of smaller branches which hang great leaves. In winter the leaves of the treant change colour but rarely fall out. These are but a few of the faery creatures found in and around the wooded areas of Swan Lake creatures of the now there are but a handful left. Faeries, who once were helpmates to Man, are being driven to extinction by the very humans they were sworn to serve and protect! Virtually homeless, except for places such as Swan Lake and others these poor, weakened creatures have become defenseless and are rapidly fading from existance, soon to be lost to us forever. When the forestland was plentiful, the Faeries had a joyous and fruitful life. Now, with the ever-increasing world population of man, there is very little forestland left that is suitable for Faerie existance. This, couple with the disbelief of millions of Humans, has caused the near extinction of our wee Fey Friends.
